Vice Chairman of Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee Le Anh Duong chairs the conference.

Since the beginning of this year, the localities have focused on communicating and appealing for ensuring the FHS execution. In the third quarter, the districts and city listed 21,800 food facilities which were classified into criteria of A, B and C for a strict supervision.

Besides, the inter-sector Steering Boards of all levels have coordinated in checking and inspecting nearly 2,000 food facilities, 77.7 percent of which were qualified with the hygiene standard while 7 out of 18 markets did not meet FHS requirement.

At the conference, several shortcomings were raised such as the risk of losing control over the input materials to the collective canteens in the industrial parks; lax method of FHS violation handling in the commune and district levels while some localities have not strictly managed the business facilities of plant protection products, chemicals, additives for food preservation and processing.

Concluding the event, Vice Chairman Le Anh Duong pressed that the FHS is a popular concern of the whole residents while the supervision and management of the food quality have not gained high efficiency with disqualified living water in several places.

He assigned the Department of Health to collaborate with the Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development, Trade and Industry to promptly train the Government Decree No. 115 that regulates the administrative punishment for food safety and issue the regulation to ensure the safety for living water quality in the province in the fourth quarter.

The leader of the Management Board for the provincial Industrial Parks speaks at the conference.

Also, the inter-sector Steering Boards of all levels should prepare the plan of FHS inspection in 2019 toward the food facilities with poor capability while the districts and city enhance instruction to develop the safe vegetable cultivation models, activities to link the production and consumption to introduce and promote the safe products.

The inspection and supervision should be boosted up to detect the contaminated food, prevent the hygiene-related issues or food poison in the autumn-winter season and upcoming Lunar New Year.

Meanwhile, the violated cases must be seriously treated so that Bac Giang province will not be considered as the market to transit the food with unclear origin from the border to other provinces.

The Steering Board took the occasion to launch the provincial FHS portal at ATTP.bacgiang.gov.vn for further FHS communication.
