Bac Giang: 30 models and services awarded in Youth Invention Contest

Accordingly, the first prize worth 10 million VND (430 USD) is presented to the group of inventors in Bac Giang High School for Gifted Students, namely Do Truong Giang and Nguyen Thu Trang with the model of “Producing the antibiotic paper discs in antibiotic susceptibility testing”.
Two second prize winners belong to the models of “producing membrane making solution to preserve the lychee by recycled material of worm silks and silver nano product” and “Support device for manual waste trolley” conducted by the group of makers Duong Hai van, Luu Toan Thang, Nguyen Thi Thu Trang and Tran Viet Hoang in Ngo Si Lien High School and single inventor Truong Quoc Lam in Thai Thuan High School respectively. Each prize is valued at 7 million VND (300 USD).
Besides, the best product award worth 2 million VND (86 USD) is handed to Tran Duc Anh and Nguyen Duc Thanh Vinh in Tan An Secondary School with the model of “building garden house from wood and bamboo” while 6-year-old girl Nguyen Thi Phuong Nga wins the prize for the youngest inventor valued at 2 million VND with her “picture of plastic bag”.
Also, the Organization Board presents 6 Third prizes, each worth 4 million VND (172 USD) and 18 Consolidation prizes with the cash reward of 2 million VND.
The 14th Youth Invention Contest was launched in late January 2018 that welcomed the members of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, junior and teenagers at the age of 6 to 9. The entries covered a wide range of fields, including study tool, information software, environmentally friendly product, family utensils, entertainment devices and kid toys, the solution to respond to climate change, environmental protection and economic development.
Its goal is to awake the potential, develop the innovative thinking as well as create the playground for the youngsters to promote their capabilities and contribute to the socio-economic growth.
