Cooperation in internship
Since 2013, Bac Giang University of Agriculture and Forestry cooperated with Israel’s AICAT (Arava International Center for Agriculture Training) to implement the internship program in Agriculture in Israel. Annually, the university sends from 20 to 30 students to intern in Israel for 10 months. So far, there have been 112 students taking part in this program.
These are outstanding students of Bac Giang University of Agriculture and Forestry. As taking part in this program, the students have opportunities to be trained and work in Israel’s high-tech agricultural production sector, thereby acquiring the technological advances to apply in the production of the localities. They are also potential high-quality human resources in the agricultural sector of the province.
Orientation for cooperation in the coming time
Israel is one of the countries with developed high-quality agriculture. With its advantages in agricultural development, Bac Giang province will continue boosting cooperation with Israel to access to the technical advances and gradually modernize its agriculture. In the coming time, the province needs to extend the support in technology application and transfer while calling for Israeli partners and investors to cooperate in agricultural production of the province.
Besides, it is necessary to continue collaborating with Israeli Embassy to Vietnam in human resource training such as sending officers to take part in short-term and long-term training programs provided by the Israeli government to gain experience and improve knowledge in many sectors especially high-tech agriculture.
Additionally, it is necessary to collaborate with the Cooperation and Development Agency of Israel to organize training courses for the staff in high-tech agriculture, post-harvest preservation, administrative reform and information technology in the province.
The province also needs to foster the internship programs in agriculture. In addition, they will continue fostering cooperation with Israel in such fields as trade, agricultural product processing, cultural and people-to-people exchanges.
