Bac Giang is focusing on developing new data platforms and technologies to deploy a comprehensive smart city; building an open data warehouse that connects data of agencies at all levels and organizations to create a shared data warehouse of the province, ensuring cyber safety and security; and creating conditions for start-ups in this field.

Students of the Than Nhan Trung Secondary School (Viet Yen district, Bac Giang province) experience online learning on a digital platform supported by Microsoft Vietnam.

Particularly in 2021, the province will accelerate the application of information technology in the operations of state agencies, striving for all documents exchanged online between state agencies (except confidential documents as prescribed by law); 90 percent of job profiles at provincial level, 80 percent at district level, and 60 percent at commune level processed on the cyber environment; and 40 percent of people and enterprises in the province participating in the e-Government information system with united electronic authentication on all information systems of all-level authorities. 

The province will aim for 80 percent of administrative procedures that meet the requirements using online public services at levels 3 and 4; 90 percent of local people and businesses satisfied with the handling of administrative procedures; and all public services getting support in responding to questions raised by people and businesses...

The province has formed a unified and smooth electronic document management system from the central to local levels, allowing automatic recognition of the document processing state among agencies. It is integrated with solutions to ensure information security and digital signatures on software. The province has initially seen the effective operation of the camera system to monitor traffic, security and order in key roads; and the development of hi-tech agricultural production models.
