Bac Giang businesses exempted from environmental monitoring and assessment in second and third quarters

(BGO) – Considering the proposal from the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, to facilitate enterprises to focus on recovering production, business activities and services recently affected by Covid-19 pandemic, the People’s Committee (PPC) in Bac Giang province has issued correspondence to ease local firms in environmental monitoring and assessment.

Accordingly, PPC Chairman agreed with the policy to exempt the local businesses from the regular environmental monitoring and assessment in the second and third quarters of 2021 due to impact from Covid-19 epidemic.

The regular report about environmental monitoring and protection in each quarter and first six months will be integrated in yearly report.

The PPC requested the enterprises to implement environmental protection measures, operate waste treatment facilities, actively supervise the effectiveness of waste treatment in line with the content of the environmental impact assessment or environmental protection plan in the project approved by authority.

The Department of Natural Resources and Environment is in charge of informing this announcement to the local business to strictly follow.
