Forming several attractive destinations

After the temporary close due to Covid-19 pandemic, Wedding Land Entertainment and Ecotourism Park in Song Mai commune, Bac Giang city re opened on the occasion of national holiday April 30 and attracted many visitors.

The park was privately invested and put in operation in late 2018 to serve various activities of entertainment and resort tourism.

Exploiting the hill location, the enterprise has invested hundreds of billion VND to build many projects in 10 hectares such as artificial swimming pools, fairy waterfall, dragon spring....as well as small models of Japanese garden, Hoi An ancient town, Holand village...

Manager of the park Than Thi Nhung said the site has annually drawn dozens of thousands of visitors, mostly in summer vacation.

Also from the private investment, several other tourism sites in the city like Rose Garden Studio in Da Mai ward, Song Thuong Garden in Le Loi ward, Coc Lam temple in Dinh Tri commune...have been completed the infrastructure with many unique items to lure tourists.

In Da Mai ward, owner of Rose Garden Studio invested in developing vast flower field and small structures under the typical architecture in several nations of Japan, China, European countries to serve the photo lovers.

The site welcomes from 400 – 800 tourist arrivals every day while the figure nearly doubles at weekend and holidays.

From the municipal budget investment, Xuong Giang Victory Historic Relic Site and Hoang Hoa Tham Park have been gradually completed to attract more and more visitors. The statistic showed that the tourism sites in the city draw more than 200,000 tourist arrivals per year with average yearly revenue of over 100 billion VND (4.2 million USD).

Orienting to develop ecological and spiritual tourism

However, the municipal tourism development still has several shortcomings such as the communication and promotion were not diverse and attractive to tourism; the local area failed to draw big investors to build synchronous infrastructure...

Meanwhile, the number of tourists visiting the local destinations sharply decreased amid the complex development of Covid-19 pandemic.

Implementing the Resolution No.44-NQ/TU issued by the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board about tourism development, the municipal People’s Committee wanted to make tourism an important field with increasing ratio in the economic structure.

According to Ngo Sy Long, Head of the municipal Division of Culture and Information, the undergoing Master Plan for the city by 2035 with the vision to 2050 has zoned off 5 areas in Song Mai commune with the function of eco and resort tourism site in Quang Phuc mountain; approved the task to divide 7 areas in Dong Son commune as the reception area, commercial tourism, golf course and resort.

The municipal People’s Committee has assigned the competent divisions to build the special project to develop the tourism and commerce in the period 2020 – 2025.

Now, the municipal authority is boosting up the socialization to upgrade the tourism site and areas; draw the businesses to supplement the tree and lighting systems at Xuong Giang relic sites and build more entertainment facilities in Hoang Hoa Tham park.

At the same time, the private enterprises are encouraged to revamp and complete the existing tourism sites.

The municipal competent agencies have oriented to link the tourist sites from the city to the districts in the province and vice versa such as Vinh Nghiem pagoda (Yen Dung district), Bo Da pagoda (Viet Yen district), Suoi Mo (Luc Nam district); cinnamomum camphora (Lang Giang district), Tay Yen Tu tourism complex (Son Dong district) as well as connect the tours from city to adjacent provinces; draw the investment in developing services to support the tourism growth.
