Apart from the central distributed capital to the tourism investment projects, several investors and socialization sources have helped realize several projects in different localities such as Wood blocks Preservation and Exhibition Building in Vinh Nghiem pagoda, Truc Lam Phuong Hoang Zen Monastery (Yen Dung district) were built with total investment of over 120 billion VND (5.1 million USD) while Tay Yen Tu Service Joint Stock Company (Son Dong district) invested some 1 trillion VND (43 million USD) to complete the first stage of Tay Yen Tu Spiritual – Ecotourism complex...
In Luc Nam district, since 2017, the infrastructures in several tourism destinations have been constructed and revamped, typically Suoi Mo Ecotourism Complex (over 100 billion VND or 4.3 million USD) with many items like building the internal road, upgrading Ha temple, Van singing building and campus at Suoi Mo area...
Additionally, the district People’s Committee coordinated with the Department of Construction to make detail plan to build the residential area, commercial and industrial service center in the communes of Lan Mau, Yen Son, Kham Lang and Tien Hung.
Besides, with the potential to develop the concentrated community based tourism in Xuan Luong commune, the People’s Committee in Yen The district and communal authority have mobilized all sources to upgrade the road from Xoan village to Nga waterfall, build car parking station, expand the area to organize Xuan Lung communal house festival...for recent three years.
The investment project to build the central residential area in Xuan Luong started on an area of some 4.6 hectares with several items such as road, level work, power supply, water supply and drainage.
The accommodation facilities have received initial investment. The province now has 420 establishments providing the tourism accommodation including 29 hotels and 391 motels which basically help meet the tourists’ demand.
Mobilizing various sources
Though the province has had initial results, the state authority and tourism experts still considered that the infrastructure investment yet to meet the requirement.
Thanks to the infrastructure investment, Tay Yen Tu Spiritual – Ecotourism complex is now an attractive destination to the visitors in and outside the province. |
According to Tran Thi Thao, representative of Green Dream Experiment and Education Company Limited, in late 2019, the enterprise invested in community tourism in several communes in Luc Ngan district, in which Thanh Hai commune is the center. However, the communal roads are too small and need further expanding.
The car keeping area in Vinh Nghiem pagoda (Yen Dung district) cannot serve all the vehicles on the Spring occasion when dozens thousands of visitors flock to the destination. Meanwhile, the public toilet system, shopping area, restaurants and hotels are shortage and yet to meet the demand of visitors at tourism sites in Na O village, An Lac commune (Son Dong district) and Ven village, Xuan Luong commune (Yen The district).
The experts advised that investment in tourism infrastructure development needs huge capital, hence the local authority should attract big investors, mobilize all people to join hand in tourism acceleration, build the projects with encouragement policies on tourism development to the localities, especially the potential mountainous area and highland.
Tran Minh Ha, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DCST), Vice Head of the Steering Board for provincial tourism development said the DCST will base on the implementation result of Resolution No 44 in 2020 to further collaborate with relevant departments and localities then propose the provincial People’s Committee to issue solutions so as to draw more capable travel businesses, accelerate the communication and promotion as well as mobilize various sources to invest in tourism development.
