Diplomatic tasks promote tourism development in Bac Giang province
Promoting provincial culture and tourism in working session with international delegations

The cultural and tourism diplomacy has been integrated with the political and economic diplomacy in the province.
Since 2016, DoFA has consulted to the provincial leaders to welcome many foreign delegations, typically Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam who came to say goodbye to the provincial leader before the end of his term; attache Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam who visited the province to attend the inauguration and handing over ceremony for the project of toilets and filtered water systems sponsored by Vietnam Samsung Electronics Company Limited and Korean Food for the Hungry International; Vice Permanent Chairman of Suzhou municipal People’s Committee (China) who paid a courtesy visit to the province among others.
At the meetings, the province integrated the introduction of the local unique identities in economy, culture, society, tourism attractions, famous landscapes...to the guests. Besides, the provincial authority arranged competent agencies to take the delegates to visit several historical relics and destinations in the province.
Organizing several programmes and activities to promote the provincial culture and tourism to international friends
The cultural diplomacy and tourism promotion activities in Bac Giang province have achieved dramatic progresses since 2016.

The province has coordinated with Japanese organizations and agencies in Vietnam, volunteers of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to organize Japanese cultural exchange since April 2016 which attracted wide participation from Japanese enterprises operating in the province and numerous local people.
Bac Giang has regularly held the ceremony to receive and plant the cherry blossom present by the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association of Chukyo region with total of over 600 trees since 2015. In 2019, the province erected the memorial stele and celebrated an inauguration ceremony for the cherry bloom tree project in the period 2015 – 2019 at the provincial Conventional Center.
In May 2018, a programme was held to welcome the Indian Ambassador to visit the province, present and plant Styrax in Tay Yen Tu Spiritual – Ecological Tourism Complex.
Also in 2018, DoFA chaired and coordinated with the departments, sectors, agencies and localities to support the delegation of international reporters from UNESCO’s National Committee to study and promote the local cultural heritage.
Particularly, Bac Giang province first ever assigned an art troop to perform Quan ho folk songs at Vietnam Culture and Tourism Seminar in Japan organized by Vietnam Embassy in Japan in 2019.
Developing culture and tourism via diplomacy communication and information
In recent years, DoFA has collaborated with the provincial organizations and agencies to make several documents to promote the province such as external bulletin in Vietnamese, English, Chinese, Japanese and Korean, report “Bac Giang – Attractive investment destination” and “Bac Giang – Completed infrastructure boosts up integration and development”.

The DoFAs’s bilingual portal in English – Vietnamese is continuously updated. The external publication and the portal help provide general view about the local history, culture, society, potential, advantages and key products in the province.
Besides, DoFA has actively joined the exhibition to display the publications and local signature products at the international event. Annually, the province welcomes the delegations of international reporters from many countries to survey, make video and take camera in the province which help promote the provincial tourism and unique culture to international friends.
