Bac Giang community based tourism targets to annually welcome at least 1 million tourist arrival

(BGO) – The Chairman of the Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee has approved for the plan to support the development of community based tourism (CBT) in the period 2021 – 2025. 

Accordingly, the CBT sites and orchard tours will target to satisfy all conditions to welcome at least 1 million tourist arrival per year by 2025, including 10,000 foreign visitors to earn revenue of 450 billion VND (19.4 million USD) and average growth rate of 25 percent per year.

To complete the set goals, in the period 2021 – 2025, the province will support 18 CBT sites mostly in the districts of Son Dong, Yen The, Luc Nam and Luc Ngan while building the management model of CBT by establishing the CBT cooperative in line with the legal regulation to ensure well control over the CBT service activities in the communes.

At the same time, the local authority will boost up communicating and promoting the CBT development; gradually plan suitable places of entertainment and sightseeing to draw more visitors; design the tours to experience the local production, cultivation and processing to enhance the cultural exchange between the local residents and tourists.

Besides, the local should introduce visitors to the landscape, historical relic site, craft villages before experiencing the home stay with signature folk songs, folk games in close connection to traditional custom and festival as a local member in the community to increase the local income.
