Bac Giang education affirms top position
According to the assessment of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), Bac Giang has well implemented the goal of fundamental and comprehensive innovation recently and been among the leading provinces in the country in terms of education quality and students’ results at national-level intellectual competitions and playgrounds.

To date, 76.33 percent of primary school teachers have obtained university degrees or higher while the rate in secondary school and high schools levels are 90.95 percent and 100% respectively. 19.04 percent of high school teachers have post-university level. Thanks to good organization, many schools have clearly improved the quality of education.
The rate of school and class solidification in the province reached 96 percent. Construction of national standard schools level 1 reached 94.5 percent and level 2 reached 20.6 percent, higher than the national average. Many new modern schools were built such as: Cao Xa Secondary School, Cao Thuong Town Secondary School (Tan Yen district) among others.
In the 2022-2023 school year, the high school graduation rate reached over 99 percent. Bac Giang ranked in the leading group nationwide in the number of university admission students scoring at least 27 and candidates scoring 10 in the high school graduation exam, including the national valedictorian of the A00 combination (Math, Physics, Chemistry).
Some subjects have made great progress such as foreign languages and biology. From a province in the bottom group, English made a breakthrough and ranked 20 out of 63 while Biology secured 14 out of 63 provinces and cities.
In the competency assessment exams of universities, many students from Bac Giang province scored high and became valedictorian and salutatorian.
The results of national and international excellent student competitions have always been outstanding achievements of the province recently. In the national exam for excellent students in the 2022-2023 academic year, Bac Giang was among the top 8 provinces nationwide in the number of first prizes and ranked 12th in the country in terms of number of prizes.
Particularly student Than The Cong won the Bronze Medal at the Asian Physics Olympiad; Giap Vu Son Ha won the Silver Medal of the Abu Reikhan Beruniy International Chemistry Olympiad; Truong Phi Hung won the Silver Medal at the European Physics Olympiad.
Recently, 4 among the 96 valedictorians graduating from university in 2023 honored by the Hanoi City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee come from Bac Giang.
Focusing on key education, the whole province built 11 key high-quality secondary schools as leading models in educational innovation.
Targeting to enhance Bac Giang's position on the national and international educational achievement table, in September 2023, the Department of Education and Training established 11 teams with 104 students to focus on intensive training and expanding their knowledge for the national excellent student exam scheduled to be held in February 2024.
