Bac Giang ensures effective lychee production
This year, the district grows about 17,630 hectares of lychee in total, including 3,967 hectares of early ripening lychee and 13,393 hectares of main lychee. The unfavourable weather condition in 2023 season caused low flowering rate.

34 packaging facilities in the district are qualified with export standard. Luc Ngan now has 103 lychee growing area codes, 33 for Japan, 39 for China, 16 for the US and remaining for others.
After actual inspection, the provincial leader led the delegates to visit the lychee growing area for export in Quy Son commune. The PPC Vice Chairman directed the district to further instruct the communes, towns and competent agencies to manage and operate the lake and irrigation projects safely and effectively so as to ensure sufficient water supply for production.
Regarding lychee production, he requested the locality to strictly watch over weather condition, growing and flowering progress so as to have timely direction.
The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development was urged to assign staff to supervise the growing areas, especially areas for exports, guide the farmers to care for the crops so as to have highest flowering rate together with high lychee quality.
The Department also enhances production direction, controls the growing area codes and packaging facilities to ensure the export standard.
