Bac Giang ensures traffic safety when picking up workers from residential area to business

(BGO) – The Steering Committee for recovering industrial production and commercial business in Bac Giang province (Steering Committee) has issued Correspondence about picking up workers from their residential areas to the enterprises and vice versa.

To further assist the industrial production businesses to rapidly recover activities in safe condition amid the risk of Covid-19 infection and ensure traffic safety when labourers in “green area” in the province travel from residential area to the companies and vice versa, the Steering Committee encouraged the employers to arrange their own vehicles or signed contract with transportation service suppliers to pick up the labourers.

Pick up bus must be qualified with disease preventive measure and good technical condition.

If the employees reside in many localities and use individual vehicles, leading to difficulties in arranging centralized picking up service, they can use vehicles from transportation suppliers with badge granted by the Department of Transport (DoT).

The transportation service suppliers should work with the DoT to receive the badge for workers’ picking up vehicle. They must committee to pick up workers only. The drivers of these vehicles are in charge of making the list of workers in each journey to ease the tracing task in case of detecting any infected or suspected person.

DoT will grant the badge to the qualified organizations and individuals; intruct the Traffic Inspector to collaborate with the Traffic Police force to enhance patrol, inspection to timely handle any violation against traffic safety guarantee.
