Bac Giang enterprises use power economically to increase profit and reduce pressure on electric sector

(BGO) – Implementing the Government’s National programme on using energy economically and effectively in 2019 – 2030, many enterprises in the northern province of Bac Giang have applied several solution to save the power and increase the production effectiveness, hence reducing the pressure on the electric sector.

Reduce input cost

Habac Nitrogenous Fertiliser and Chemicals Joint Stock Company (Hanichemco) (Bac Giang city) always takes initiative in saving the energy in production.

Nguyen Viet Tien, Manager of the Technical and Process Department said Hanichemco has conducted energy audit since 2010 while starting to build energy management model in early 2019. Also, the company set up the Energy Management Board to issue the annual energy saving policy and plan to help the model run effectively.

Besides, Luong Thi Hien, an officer in charge of personnel administration in Daeyang Hanoi Company Limited in Dong Dinh Industrial Cluster (Tan Yen district) shared the company invested dozens of billions dong to replace the machinery and equipment so as to enhance the automation in production early this year.

They changed all lighting and cooling equipment and others to power saving products. Every week, the officers in charge of workshop and head of departments communicate to all labors to save the energy. As the result, it helped cut down nearly 200kW of electric in the first six months.

Recently, solar energy has been selected by several enterprises with high effectiveness. Vina Solar Technology Company Limited, Vietnam Electronic Material Company Limited in Van Trung Industrial Park (Viet Yen district) have invested dozens of billion dongs to install the solar panels to create electric for production.

These businesses are planning to expand the solar panel areas and sell the abundant power to the Viet Yen Power Company to help reduce the pressure of power shortage in the district.

According to the Department of Industry and Trade (DoIT), there are 55 companies in the province with yearly electric consumption of over 3 million kWh joining the power saving programme, hence the power adjustment is expected to hit more than 50,000 kWh. So far, half of these above power has been saved.

To help the businesses effectively implement the programme, the DoIT and Bac Giang Electric Company popularised the Governmental documents about the energy saving programme, controlled the demand and adjusted the power load.

Additionally, they conducted survey on electric saving, energy audit plan, production line, technology, load adjustment potentials and participation while requesting the companies to register the power using plan and provide the typical load diagram.

Nguyen Duc Hoan, Head of the Energy Management Department (DoIT) said in the upcoming time the DoIT and Bac Giang Electric Company will organize training course on knowledge of electric, economical and effective power usage to the enterprises with yearly power consumption of over 1 – 3 million kWh; instruct the key energy users to build the power management model and encourage the enterprises to invest in solar power systems helping reduce the pressure on the electric sector.
