Bac Giang focuses on leading and directing prompt implementation of guidelines and solutions on corruption control
The meeting approved Decision No. 388-QD/TU dated June 14, 2022 of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee on the establishment of the provincial Committee for Corruption and Negative Phenomena Prevention and Control. The Steering Committee consists of 15 members, with Duong Van Thai as its head. At the meeting, its members discussed the draft working regulations and launched tasks and working programmes for the last 6 months of 2022.

Accordingly, the key tasks are to focus on leading and directing the prompt implementation of policies and solutions on prevention and control of corruption and negative phenomena; strengthen examination, supervision and inspection in areas prone to corruption and negative phenomena; promote communications, dissemination and education on corruption and negative phenomena prevention and control in association with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.

In his closing speech, Duong Van Thai asked the members of the Steering Committee to collect comments and suggestions in order to soon complete the working regulations and programmes. It should carefully study the draft assignment of tasks to members, thereby adding specific jobs in line with the functions and missions of the agencies and localities. The working regulations are expected to be issued on July 1, 2022.
He emphasized that in recent years, the Party and State have highly focused on preventing and combating corruption and negative phenomena. In that spirit, Bac Giang province has drastically and regularly implemented measures to prevent and fight corruption.

The establishment of the Steering Committee will create a legal basis to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of anti-corruption work and demonstrate the political determination of the entire provincial Party Organization as well as the leadership, direction, drastic and synchronous implementation of solutions to prevent and combat corruption and negative phenomena in accordance with the Party's regulations and State laws.

Anti-corruption work is identified as one of the central political tasks of the whole political system. This is a difficult task and a mission that the Party Organization has put on its shoulders, so the Steering Committee needs to focus on showing its determination and strong efforts in directing and organizing the implementation in the coming time.
The members, based on their respective functions and tasks, need to actively promote the sense of responsibility and strive to fulfill the tasks assigned by the Steering Committee.
