Bac Giang focuses on removing traffic "bottlenecks" in industrial parks
The Van Trung Industrial Park is now operating with about 33,000 employees. In addition, there are the Quang Chau and Song Khe - Noi Hoang Industrial Parks in surrounding areas.

Therefore, the daily flow of people and vehicles from and to this area is very large. Meanwhile, all the roads leading to this industrial park must run through the overpass from the Dinh Tram Industrial Park or the frontage road to the Hanoi - Bac Giang Expressway. Therefore, traffic jams often occur during rush hours here.
In order to reduce vehicles and minimize the risk of traffic accidents, Bac Giang province has planned to implement a project to connect the National Highway 17 with the extended National Highway 37 section (the foot of the Dinh Tram overpass in Viet Yen district) to create a new route to the Van Trung Industrial Park and surrounding areas. The section is designed to be a level-2 road with a total length of about 5.8km.
At the same time, the provincial People's Committee has carried out procedures to ask for a Ministry of Transport permit to invest in constructing two steel bridges crossing the expressway in the Dinh Tram and Van Trung Industrial Parks. Investment procedures for these two overpasses have been completed and their construction will start in early September.
Through field inspections, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Bui Van Hai affirmed that the implementation of the policy of creating more branch routes and overpasses leading to industrial zones to ease traffic pressure is extremely urgent and necessary.
He assigned the People's Committees of Yen Dung and Viet Yen districts and related units to urgently complete site clearance and soon start construction of the section linking the National Highway 17 with the National Highway 37.
The provincial and district leaders and infrastructure investors inspect current transport infrastructure at Gate A2 of the Van Trung Industrial Park. |
At the same time, the provincial Department of Transport should actively collaborate with relevant agencies and units to promptly build a steel bridge crossing the Hanoi - Bac Giang Expressway as planned, creating an additional traffic channel to serve the travel needs of workers in industrial zones.
It needs to continue researching and advising the provincial People's Committee and relevant units to expand the surface of the frontage road to the Hanoi - Bac Giang Expressway from the foot of the Dinh Tram overpass to the intersection between the National Road 17 and the Hanoi – Bac Giang Expressway with an appropriate scale, facilitating the travel from and to industrial zones here...
In the process of implementing the above-mentioned projects, the concerned units should ensure absolute labour and traffic safety; and not create traffic jams affecting production activities in industrial parks.
