Bac Giang has 1,500 tonnes of longan for export
In 2022, the province has grown more than 3,400 ha of longan with expected productivity of over 20,000 tonnes.

The DARD cooperated with Luc Nam and Yen The districts to direct the production of longan growing area for export to the US, Australia, Japan, Singapore and China among others in 200 ha with estimated output of 1,500 tonnes.
So far, the preparation works have been basically done to meet the requirement from export market, such as issuance of growing area code, disease prevention, plant protection product control.
As schedule, the harvest time starts from August 10.
DARD Vice Director Le Ba Thanh said: “Toward smooth export of longan, the DARD invited big enterprises with rich experience in exporting Vietnam fruits like Viet France Agriculture Land Joint Stock Company; Ameii Vietnam JSC; Vietnam T&T Import Export Trade and Service Company Limited; Rong Do Production, Trading and Service Co.,Ltd; Toan Cau Import Export JSC…to survey and join the linkage to export longan”.
With big longan quantity, if the fruit is exported successfully, the value of farm produce can be raised together with high position at more consumption markets.
