Bac Giang High School for the Gifted ranks 1st at Hung Vuong Summer Camp
11 students winning gold medals were Nguyen Vu Trung Duc and Nguyen Thuy Dung (at grade 10 Maths), Ngo Duc Thang and Vu Minh Tu (at grade 11 Maths), Tran Ngoc Yen Chi and Do Trong Tinh (at grade 10 Physics), Nguyen Van Huy (at grade 11 Chemistry), Hoang Phuong Chi and Tran Hong Van (at grade 10 Literature), Phung Anh Tuyet (at grade 10 English) and Hoang Minh Anh (at grade 11 Chinese).

The competition attracted nearly 1,800 participants including 1,100 students from 20 gifted high schools in northern midland and mountainous region and Viet Bac high school. 136 gold medals, 386 silvers and 450 bronzes were awarded to the outstanding students at the end of this camp.
There were a variety of activities at this Camp including the contests for excellent students in Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Literature, History, Geography, English, Chinese and French at grade 10 and 11, seminars on management of gifted schools and field trips to the historical sites and beautiful landscapes in the host locality.

The Hung Vuong Summer Camp was first organized at Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted in Phu Tho province in August 2005. To date, it has attracted participation of 17 gifted high schools.
The member schools in turn host annual Hung Vuong Summer Camp to create conditions for the teachers to exchange and share experience in nurturing outstanding students and give opportunities for students to enrich their knowledge, learn about local customs, practice and cultural features and improve their skills and social activities.
