Bac Giang in top 8 leading localities in export value
Of which, Bac Giang province ranked 7th with approx. 14 billion USD of export value, a surge of 60.2 year on year with an increase of 5.26 billion USD. Hanoi city is at the 8th position with 11.36 billion USD, up 17 percent compared to the same period, an increase of 1.65 billion USD.

There are no changes in the 3 leading positions including Ho Chi Minh City as the top followed by Bac Ninh and Binh Duong provinces with the export turnovers of 32.8 billion USD, 30.1 billion USD and 24.1 billion USD respectively. The other 3 positions fall into Thai Nguyen, Dong Nai and Hai Phong with the export turnovers of 22.2 billion USD, 17.2 billion USD and 15.8 billion USD respectively.
Notably, all of the 8 major export localities see dramatic growth compared to the same period. The export turnover of these 8 localities accounts for 66.33 percent of Vietnam’s total export turnover in the first 8 months with 167.56 billion USD.
Regarding general export activity of Vietnam in the first 8 months, the total export value reached nearly 252.6 billion USD, a surge of 18.2 percent, equivalent to an increase of 38.85 billion USD compared to the same period of 2021.
Export surplus is reported at 5.5 billion USD. In which, foreign direct investment (FDI) firms reached approx. 185.44 billion USD, up 18.2 percent (an increase of 28.55 billion USD) year on year, accounting for 73.4 percent of the total export turnover of the nation.
In line with FDI attraction and domestic consumption market, export is one of the 3 important pillars of the economy with good growth regardless of negative impacts of the pandemic on production and business activities.
