Bac Giang launches agricultural development strategy until 2030, vision to 2035
According to the plan, the province will focus on developing its key products such as lychee, orange, pomelo, rice, vegetable, pig, chicken and wood.

Besides, it strives to establish 70 products under the “One commune, One product” (OCOP) program by 2025 with three 5-star products meeting international standards including Luc Ngan lychee, Van village liquor and Chu rice noodle. The province is targeted to have about 170 OCOP products by 2030.
In addition, the province will review and define the space to make digital mapping clarifying the land area, boundary of the centralised and specialized cultivation areas, key and signature products and high-tech agricultural production areas of the province which is scheduled to be finished by October 2019. It is planed to publicise to the grassroots and conduct field demarcation.
To strengthen researching and application of advanced science and technologies and mechanization in agricultural production. To build mechanism, policies, schemes and production models of the key and signature products following the advanced procedures such as VietGap, GlobalGap and organic production.
Besides, the province is directed to renew production towards cooperation and coherent linkage of the value chains from production to consumption among farmers, cooperatives, unions of cooperatives and enterprises especially in centralized and specialized cultivation areas of the key products.
To expand the effective production models and value chains suitable for agricultural development of each locality.
The province is planed to work out special policies and mechanism to foster land consolidation to encourage and attract enterprises to invest in agriculture and rural areas.
It gives priorities to attract investment in food preservation techniques and high-tech processing following the plans in line with methods of consumption to heighten added values of the agricultural, forestry and fishery products. Besides, it is necessary to strengthen advertising, establishing trade brands, labelling and expanding consumption market of farm produce.
It is essential to diversify investment to mobilise all resources for infrastructure development serving agricultural production in which allocating state budget to support construction of small, infield irrigation and traffic systems and power lines for specialized cultivation of the key and signature products of the province. It is necessary to supplement, modify or build the incentive policies to attract investment in agriculture and rural areas.
