Bac Giang launches Humanitarian Month 2019
Accordingly, the Humanitarian month 2019 themed “Connecting, sharing and spreading” has been launched to connect the humanitarians to share and help needy people. Besides, the propaganda will be accelerated to spread humanitarian activities in the community.

The Red Cross Societies at local levels play the key roles in connecting and calling for resources involving in humanitarian activities and activities of the Red Cross Society.
The Humanitarian month 2019 is targeted to help 1,500 needy households with appropriate supporting methods and rates. Besides, it aims to provide free medical examination and treatment and medicine to about 3,000 people while mobilizing voluntary blood donation, building humanitarian houses and opening new humanitarian models.
In order to reach the set targets, the provincial Red Cross Society required its subsidiary associations to continue propagandizing the policies of the Party and regulations of the State on humanitarian affairs and activities of the Red Cross Society.
Besides, they are requested to popularize the humanitarian values and the World Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement in humanitarian affairs. A number of activities will be implemented such as building the humanitarian funds, implementing social welfare activities, community-based healthcare, developing other red-cross models, cow- bank program and disaster prevention and response.
The Red Cross Society in the districts and cities should take initiative to collaborate with related agencies and direct the grass-root associations to set up profiles of the especially difficult people.
Particularly, each district and city will set up at least 20 addresses and classify the needs for help in response to the campaign “Every organization and individual associated with a humanitarian address”.
In addition, they are requested to advise the Party committees and authorities in guiding and mobilizing resources and using humanitarian funds to help each district and city support from 20 to 50 humanitarian addresses while each commune and town support from 5 to 10 humanitarian addresses.
The Humanitarian month is scheduled from 1 to 31 May 2019 with a high concentration for 2 weeks from 8 to 19 May.
