Bac Giang Newspaper Run and Walking Festival to take place on 17 March
Bac Giang Newspaper Run of this year welcomed the record number of nearly 10,000 participants including 7,000 teachers, students’ parents and students taking part in the “Walking Festival for an active Vietnamese generation”.

The “Walking Festival” is the main activity included in the “Milo-Active Vietnam” program involving in the “Master plan to develop the physical strength and height of Vietnamese people in the 2011-30 period”.
This event organized together with the Bac Giang Newspaper Run conveys a meaningful message which inspires and calls for student’s parents’ attention to sports activities contributing to the physical development of the young generation. Besides, it creates more playgrounds for students to understand the importance of sport practising to improve their physical strength and intelligence in daily activities and learning. This is also a new feature of the contest.

Nestlé Vietnam Company Limited is the key sponsor for the 38th competition season. The company not only co-organizes the Walking Festival, but they also donate funds, costumes and other valuables awards. In addition, Tuan Mai Trade joint stock company in Bac Giang city sponsors awards for some categories.

The track and field category includes the following contents: young male, young female, male and female championship among the districts and junior high schools. The shortest distance for the running competition is 2 kilometres and the farthest is 6 kilometres.
All activities at the 38th Bac Giang Newspaper Run and Walking Festival in 2019 will take place and finish in the morning of 17 March.
