Bac Giang Newspaper Run of this year welcomed the record number of nearly 10,000 participants including 7,000 teachers, students’ parents and students taking part in the “Walking Festival for an active Vietnamese generation”.

The “Walking Festival” is the main activity included in the “Milo-Active Vietnam” program involving in the “Master plan to develop the physical strength and height of Vietnamese people in the 2011-30 period”.

This event organized together with the Bac Giang Newspaper Run conveys a meaningful message which inspires and calls for student’s parents’ attention to sports activities contributing to the physical development of the young generation. Besides, it creates more playgrounds for students to understand the importance of sport practising to improve their physical strength and intelligence in daily activities and learning. This is also a new feature of the contest.

The company not only co-organizes the Walking Festival, but they also donate funds, costumes and other valuables awards. In addition, Tuan Mai Trade joint stock company in Bac Giang city sponsors awards for some categories.

At the running competition, more than 2,800 team leaders, coaches and athletes from 61 delegations applied for interesting contents including group- marathon of the elderly, the vocational schools, armed force and high schools. 

Bac Giang city is ready for the 38th Bac Giang Newspaper Run and Walking Festival.

The track and field category includes the following contents: young male, young female, male and female championship among the districts and junior high schools. The shortest distance for the running competition is 2 kilometres and the farthest is 6 kilometres.

All activities at the 38th Bac Giang Newspaper Run and Walking Festival in 2019 will take place and finish in the morning of 17 March.

Hau Giang to host first marathon for climate change campaign

The first Mekong Delta Marathon Hau Giang 2019 will be organized on April 21 in Vi Thanh city in Hau Giang province, aiming to raise public awareness of climate change.

 

Exciting marathon of “Conquering legend Non Vua mountain peak”

(BGO) – The mountain marathon themed “Conquering the legend Non Vua mountain peak” and photo contest of “Nham Bien moment” 2019 on February 17 were first ever launched by a joint collaboration of the People’s Committee in Yen Dung district, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DCST) as well as the provincial Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCMCYU) in Bac Giang province at Lac Phu Residential area, Nham Son commune. 

 

Int’l runners join Vietnam Trail Marathon in Moc Chau

As many as 1,900 racers from 39 countries will join the Vietnam Trail Marathon in Moc Chau, in the northern mountainous province of Son La on January 19. 

 

HCM City Marathon 2019 draws over 9,000 runners

More than 9,000 runners from 50 countries and territories joined the Ho Chi Minh City Marathon 2019 on January 13 which was jointly held by the city’s Athletics Federation and the company Pulse Active.
