By the end of February 2023, there were 321,800 people in the province covered by compulsory social insurance, 307,600 people by unemployment insurance, over 1.7 million people by health insurance, year on year decrease.

For the first two months of this year, Bac Giang province has persuaded 531 people to participate in volunteer social insurance, making up total number of participants up to more than 39,300 cases (accounting for 75.46 percent of the target).

Concluding the event, PPC Vice Chairman Mai Son urged the departments, sectors and localities to further research and effectively implement the regulation to fulfil the set target that by the end of 2023, Bac Giang will have 367,200 people covered by compulsory social insurance, 52,100 people by volunteer social insurance, 356,200 people by unemployment insurance as well as 99 percent of total population by health insurance.

The provincial Social Insurance was assigned to chair symposium in next April to discuss solution of handling insurance debt such as applying strict administrative punishment, transferring the file to the investigating agency for the units and enterprises that intentionally prolong the debt and take advantage of the policy.

He ordered organizations, agencies and localities to follow the cooperation agreement, promote the assigned function and task, enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of state management, hence protecting legal and legitimate rights for the labours.
