Bac Giang prioritizes power supply to prevent breaking production chain in industrial parks

Updated: 22:00, 14/09/2024

BAC GIANG - Thanks to efforts to overcome the impact of storm No. 3, Bac Giang Power Company has restored power to most areas, ensuring operations in industrial parks. Currently, only a few flooded areas suffer power interruptions.

In addition to flooded area, there are some locations that are difficult to repair, especially the incident of a broken wire in all 3 phases at pole 250-251 of the 35kV line on Highway 376-E7.8; the wire is 250 m long across the river in the Deo Gia - Phu Nhuan area (Luc Ngan).

Workers of Bac Giang Power Company handle the broken power line incident on Lang Giang - Huu Lung line.

At this location, the river water flows rapidly, the wire is long. Luc Ngan Power Division has coordinated with the locality to mobilize human resources and means to bring the wire across the river to connect the power line but as of September 12, it has not been resolved.

The incident has caused power outage for many households in Deo Gia commune and affected the power supply to some communes in Son Dong district such as Tuan Dao, Yen Dinh and Tay Yen Tu town...

To quickly restore power to all customers, the electricity industry's human resources have been on duty 24/24.

The company mobilizes maximum resources, equipment, vehicles and materials together with well implementing "4 on the spot" motto, promptly overcoming incidents and damages caused by storm No. 3 in the fastest time.

By 6 p.m. on September 12, Bac Giang Power Company restored power to 100% of pumping stations and hundreds of thousands of customers.

The enterprises in industrial parks have been provided with continuous power and operated stably. More than 24,000 customers suffered power cut because many areas have been isolated by floodwaters so the functional agencies cannot access and restore the power grid.

Meanwhile, some locations have to cut off power to ensure safety when floodwaters rise.

Thanks to the stable power supply, despite the impact of storm No. 3 and heavy rain that flooded some roads in Quang Chau and Van Trung Industrial Parks of Viet Yen township), production and business activities of enterprises in the industrial parks in the province were not "disrupted"; workers traveled and worked normally.

The Cau River flows through Viet Yen township which is a key industrial area, so the provincial and local authorities have paid due attention to the work of storm and flood prevention and control.

In response to the rising water level of the Cau River, since the night of September 11, the locality has mobilized forces to build a 150m spillway on the left dike of Cau passing Ninh Son and Quang Chau wards.

Hundreds of sandbags have been reserved at the culvert location across the Don Luong pumping station dike in Don Luong residential group on the right dike of Lai Nghien through Bich Dong ward to prevent spillage.

All risks of flooding are under control, the locality has prepared enough materials, forces and specialized machinery to handle any incident.
