Despite many difficulties, in the first six months, the district's socio-economic situation continued to maintain positive growth momentum with rapidly changing urban and rural infrastructure, increasingly improving people's lives, and maintained defence and security.

On this occasion, Luc Ngan district proposed the province pay attention to speeding up the progress of scientific projects, investing in renovating and upgrading a number of lake and dam projects, and supplementing the budget for the new-style rural area building programme.

Chairman Duong appreciated the efforts of the Party Committee and authorities of Luc Ngan district in performing their tasks over the past six months.

In the coming time, the district Party Committee and authorities must strengthen solidarity, strictly follow discipline and public service regulations, and exert every effort to complete the goals and tasks in the second half of the year, he requested.

It is necessary to focus on implementing measures to stabilise people's lives and maintain security and order; and strengthen state management in some areas with limitations and weaknesses, he said.

The district should pay more attention to the disbursement of public investment capital, especially for national target programmes; while speeding ​​up site clearance and budget collection progress and focusing on solving public debt in infrastructure construction investment, he added.

He requested the departments and agencies provide more support for Luc Ngan district to carry out socio-economic development tasks. Regarding the district's recommendations and proposals, he assigned relevant agencies to research and give advice to the provincial People's Committee for solutions.
