Bac Giang provincial Oncology Hospital inaugurates Inpatient Treatment Center
The provincial Oncology Hospital was established under the Decision No 720/QD-UBND dated December 12, 2026 of the provincial People’s Committee and came into operation since January 1, 2017. This is a class-2 provincial specialized hospital. It had 100 beds at the beginning with total investment of 150 billion VND (6.130 million USD) from the provincial budget.

After 2 years, the 8-storey center building with total floor area of nearly 8,500 square metre were completed and brought into use. Currently, the hospital has 267 standardized beds overcoming the hospital overload.
Speaking at the event, PPC permanent Vice Chairman Mai Son stressed, the province has spent major resources to improve capacity of the medical system, in which paying special attention to building and expanding scales of the provincial hospitals and 10 district-level medical centers in line with building and repairing communal-level medical stations.

The project to build and expand the scale of the provincial Oncology Hospital has been invested with the synchronous technical system and modern medical equipment. After the project is brought into use, it will expand the hospital bed scales and improve the quality of medical examination and treatment to provide local people with high-quality medical services and reduce the medical examination and treatment fees.
The PPC Vice Chairman highly evaluated the great efforts of the investor and contractors to speed up the construction progress in the context of Covid-19 pandemic. Besides, he urged the provincial Oncology Hospital to effectively manage and promote efficiency of the Inpatient Treatment Center while allocating resources for regular maintenance and supplementing some items such as flower and bonsai garden to create a green and clean campus to provide places for patients to relax.

The hospital also needs to work with the provincial competent agencies to recommend supplementing the public investment plan for the next stage to build a new building to meet the people’s demand for medical examination and treatment. In addition, it is necessary to create conditions for the doctors and medical practitioners to study, improve their profession and master modern technological devices.
On this occasion, PPC Vice Chairman Mai Son and the delegates visited and presented 10 gift packages (including 1 million VND in cash and kind) to the patients treated in the provincial Oncology Hospital facing difficulties.
