It is a big campaign annually launched by the provincial Steering Committee since 2009 to call for the active participation from the people of all strata to help ease the blood shortage in summer occasion and meet the requirement for emergency and treatment.

This year event is launched from May 1 to September 2 to call for 10,000 participants and strive to receive some 5,000 blood units.

At the launching ceremony, the volunteers paraded to communicate for the Campaign at several streets in Bac Giang city. The provincial RCS joined hands with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion to hold a blood donation festival.

At the event, Secretary Bui Van Hai and delegates asked after and encouraged the volunteers and blood donors. The precious blood donated by the community is crucial to build the reserve blood source for emergency and treatment, especially amid the complex Covid-19 pandemic.

The provincial leader hoped that the Steering Committee at all levels will focus on communicating and calling for various sources to organize the events to receive the qualified blood to fulfil the set target while ensuring the pandemic prevention and control.

In May 9, many people in Bac Giang city join blood donation festival.

To encourage the local blood donating movement, the provincial Secretary donated his blood at the festival.

In May 9, the Organization Board received 420 safe blood units that were added to the national source of reserve blood for supply and meet the requirement for emergency and treatment to patient.
