Bac Giang reinforces Covid-19 prevention and control in schools
Lang Giang district is home to 67 education facilities with nearly 48,000 students. 296 students and 21 teachers in the districts infected with Covid-19 are under treatment at home and medical facilities, in which primary schools take the majority with 204 infected students. Particularly, 104 students in Lang Giang district were confirmed with Covid-19 on February 14.

In order to ensure safety for the students, 23 out of 67 schools organize direct and online teaching -learning. The rates of vaccination for students from 12 to below 18 reach 99.8 percent with 1st dose and 99.7 percent with 2nd dose.
Concluding the inspection, the provincial permanent Vice Chairman Mai Son highly evaluated the proactive and flexible preventive measures to ensure safety in the schools and effective teaching-learning method of Lang Giang district.
He praised Lang Giang district for reaching the highest rate of 3rd dose vaccination (88.4 percent). He stressed, vaccination is the top priority, thus Lang Giang district needs to continue administering vaccination more quickly with a focus on students meeting conditions for vaccination and providing vaccines to all teachers.
The education sector was urged to pay attention to the pandemic prevention in schools especially kindergartens and primary schools while providing propaganda to students about the preventive measures in the lessons.

He requested the levels and sectors in the district not to be complacent but continue boosting propaganda on the pandemic fight to raise awareness of people, students’ parents and teachers of vaccination and protecting children amid the pandemic. Specially, the schools should not organize tours, events or gatherings for the teachers and staff especially when Bac Giang re-opened socio-economic activities.
He ordered the Department of Education and Training and Department of Health to provide guidance on the pandemic prevention in schools by February 16 while reinforcing inspection on the pandemic prevention and control in education facilities, applying information technology in management and supervision of the pandemic prevention and control and ensuring safety to implement direct teaching-learning especially for the upcoming provincial and national contests for excellent students.
