Bac Giang team ranks first at national badminton championships for middle aged and old players

(BGO) – The National Badminton Championships 2018 for the Middle-Aged and Old Players was jointly held from September 18-23 in Quang Ngai province by Vietnam Association for the Elderly (VAE), Vietnam Sports Administration, Vietnam Badminton Federation and Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Quang Ngai province.

The tournament drew more than 340 players from 20 provinces and cities across the nation vying for the medals in such events of men’s doubles, women’s doubles, mixed doubles in 7 different age groups ranging from 36 to 70.

16 athletes in Bac Giang delegation excellently performed in the championships and won 4 golds, 2 silvers
The gold winners included Le Xuan Phu – Nguyen Van Hung, Tran Thi Thuy- Vu Thi Phuong Mai, Le Hong Trung – Le Thi Thu Ha and La Thi Thanh Thuyet – Nguyen Ngoc Tan Da.
