Bac Giang welcomes more than 2 million tourist arrivals

BAC GIANG - In 2023, the northern province of Bac Giang expects to welcome over 2 million tourist arrivals including more than 16,000 foreign visitors, up more than 51 percent compared to 2022, reported the Provincial Steering Committee for Tourism Development.

Total revenue from tourism activities is estimated at 1,450 billion VND (61.8 million USD), an increase of 123 percent.

Many visitors flock to local attractions like Vinh Nghiem Pagoda (Yen Dung), Bo Da Pagoda (Viet Yen), Xuong Giang Temple (Bac Giang City); Tay Yen Tu spiritual and ecological tourist complex (Son Dong); Cam Son lake, Khuon Than lake, Bau Tien eco-tourism site (Luc Ngan); Suoi Mo eco-tourism area (Luc Nam) and Ven village (Yen The) among others.

The above results are achieved thanks to great effort of the Provincial People's Committee, the Steering Committee for Tourism Development, districts and cities to promote tourism activities in associated with major cultural and sports events, creating a special impression on tourists.

Such tourism products as: "Bac Giang spiritual cultural tourism", "Return to the sacred land of Tay Yen Tu" associated with "The Path to Promoting Buddhism of the Buddhist Founders of Truc Lam Yen Tu", "Return to Luc Ngan sweet fruit region", "Bac Giang cultural heritage region"... gradually affirm the brand and are initially put into operation.

In 2024, Bac Giang province strives to welcome 3 million tourist arrivals with revenue from tourism activities of 2,500 billion VND. The province focuses on several solutions such as strengthening promotion and cooperation in tourism development; innovating methods and content, improving the quality of tourism propaganda and promotion, enhancing research and application of advanced science and technology in tourism activities, training, fostering human resources.
