At the visit, the provincial leaders briefed on some outstanding results in socio-economic development of the 2 provinces in 2019. Particularly, Bac Ninh ranked 7th nationwide in economic growth rate. The export value reached over 35 billion USD and GRDP hit 6,163 USD ranking 2nd nationwide. State revenue earned some 30 trillion VND (1.3 billion USD).

Nguyen Quoc Chung stressed, the outstanding results of Bac Ninh province have been achieved thanks to great efforts of the party committee, government and people of Bac Ninh province in line with great attention, cooperation, sharing and support of the neighbouring localities including Bac Giang province.

On this occasion, Bac Ninh’s provincial leaders presented a gift valued at 500 million VND (21,579 USD) to support the poor in Bac Giang to celebrate the New Year of the Rat 2020.

On behalf of Bac Giang’s provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and the Father Front Committee, Le Thi Thu Hong showed her great gratitude to the Bac Ninh’s leaders for their special attention to supporting and encouraging poor households in Bac Giang on Tet occasion.

She shared, despite its comprehensive results in 2019, Bac Giang province still remains high poverty rate (more than 5 percent) mostly in the districts of Son Dong, Luc Ngan, Luc Nam and Yen The. Thus, Bac Giang will pay more attention to provide priority policies to reduce poverty rate in coming years.
