Provincial Chairman Duong Van Thai pays pre-Tet visits to religious dignitaries
In Bac Ninh province, the provincial Chairman Duong Van Thai visited and extended Tet greetings to Buddhist Monk Thich Thanh Dung, Deputy Holiness Most Venerable, president of the Supreme Patriarch Council, Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and Venerable Thich Thanh Quyet, Deputy President of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Head of Vietnam Buddhist Academy.

At his visits, the provincial Chairman briefed on the outstanding achievements in socio-economic development, social security and order of Bac Giang province in 2019.
He stressed, thanks to construction of the items in Tay Yen Tu spiritual and ecological tourism complex, Bac Giang province welcomed more than 2 million tourists in 2019. For many people and tourists, Tay Yen Tu is a must-come destination on their journey following the footprints of the Buddhist Emperor.
As the head of My do pagoda in Bac Giang city, Buddhist Monk Thich Thanh Dung proactively mobilises enterprises and donors to support with thousands of Tet gifts each year to the poor in the districts of Son Dong and Luc Ngan.

On this occasion, Duong Van Thai wished Buddhist Monk Thich Thanh Dung, Venerable Thich Thanh Quyet, other monks and Buddhist followers a happy new year of good health. He expected them to continue calling for resources to build the construction of Tay Yen Tu spiritual and ecological tourism complex and accompany local people in socio-economic development.
Buddhist Monk Thich Thanh Dung and Venerable Thich Thanh Quyet thanked Bac Giang’s provincial leaders for the attention. They affirmed the Buddhism affairs gained good results last year. Vietnam Buddhist Sangha would continue joining hands with the local party committee and government to fulfill social security progammes.
