However, the progress of site clearance remains slow compared to the plan as there are still some graves yet to be removed. The center is persuading households to relocate graves to hand over the grounds to the construction unit.

The drainage and traffic systems of Zones A and B of the southern urban area of Bac Giang city is also underway. Total disbursement valued at 457 billion VND (19.88 million USD), or over 59 percent of the contract value.

Currently, the construction of the drainage and traffic systems in Zones A and B of the southern urban area of Bac Giang city is about 12 months behind schedule due to difficulties in land clearance. After inspecting the construction sites and grasping the specific situations from the investors, the contractors and district and city authorities, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Le Anh Duong asked Bac Giang city and Viet Yen district to take drastic measures to accelerate site clearance. They must enhance communications and persuade residents to relocate graves, properties and trees to hand over grounds to construction units, ensuring the progress of the projects. As the rainy season is coming, it is necessary to speed up site clearance for the construction of sewers, ponds and lakes, and have plans for water drainage.

The localities need to consider adjusting a number of locations of the project to upgrade and expand the frontage road on the left of National Road 1 – section from the National Road 31 intersection to Hung Vuong intersection and renovate Hung Vuong intersection to suit reality. For the National Road 37 intersection under the project to upgrade and expand the frontage road on the right of the Hanoi - Bac Giang Expressway - section from the National Road 37 overpass to the National Road 17 overpass, it is necessary to pay attention to creating landscapes and spaces for planting trees, thus creating a highlight and making it the gateway to Viet Yen district.

They should study and have solutions to return internal frontage roads of industrial parks in this area. Regarding the National Road 17 intersection, which involves a number of households, Bac Giang city needs to focus on solving the problems before April 5 to hand over the site to the contractor, striving to complete the project as planned, with ensured quality.
