Covid-19 prevention medical supplies presented to Cuban people
The more than 30 tonnes of medical aid included: 10,000 test kits; 7,000 sample taking sets and transportation; 100,000 medical masks; 100,000 antibacterial gauze masks; 2,000 protective suits; over 1,000 boxes of VICOREDU medicine; and over 1,000 PROTECVICOR boxes.

The medical supplies were given to Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Lianys Torres Rivera.
Speaking at the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh affirmed that international cooperation in Covid-19 prevention and control is also an important mission of Vietnam.
Since the outbreak of the epidemic, Cuba has presented treatment medicine to Vietnam, sent experts to support Vietnam and organised online conferences to exchange experiences in Covid-19 prevention and control.
In the current context, the supports of medicine, medical equipment and other supplies is a vivid testament for the brotherhood, sharing and solidarity between the two countries, with many important implications for their bilateral relations.
For her part, the Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam extended her sincere thanks to the Vietnamese Party, State, Defence Ministry and people for their support of Cuban people during the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
The two countries will organise many activities to mark the 60th anniversary of their diplomatic ties, contributing to illustrating the special friendship and cooperation to the younger generations, she added.
