The World Travel Awards, established in 1993, have gained international acclaim for recognizing achievements in all aspects of tourism.
Situated 120 kilometers south of Hanoi, Cuc Phuong National Park lies within the Tam Diep mountain range, and is the first national park in Vietnam. Established in 1962, the park spans the provinces of Ninh Binh, Hoa Binh, and Thanh Hoa, covering 22,000 hectares.
It is home to more than 2,200 higher plant and moss species, over 120 reptile and amphibian species, around 65 fish species, nearly 2,000 insect species, and 135 mammal species.
The endangered delacour's langur has been selected as Cuc Phuong's symbolic primate.
Late April to early May is butterfly season, drawing tourists eager to photograph the forest.
Visitors can enjoy various hands-on activities at Cuc Phuong National Park, such as exploring the ancient forest, visiting Muong Village, wildlife observation, cycling, and participating in conservation and rescue programs for animals and plants.
The event honoring the award is scheduled to take place in Ho Chi Minh City on September 6.
