Da Nang’s chatbot app makes final list of GO Smart Awards 2020

A chatbot app developed by the Da Nang government has become Vietnam’s only product shortlisted for the final round of the GO Smart Awards 2020, according to the city’s Department of Information and Communications.

Known as Chatbot 1022, the app was put into service in 2018 to automatically provide information and respond to queries about administrative procedures and clarify socio-economic information in Da Nang.

Da Nang's Chatbot 1022 app is Vietnam's only finalist of GO Smart Awards 2020.

The app boasts a database of more than 1,000 sets of Da Nang’s administrative procedures as well as information about public services, seeing about 500 interactions each day.

Chatbot 1022 is available on channels such as Facebook Messenger, the Da Nang Online Public Service Portal and the Da Nang Public Service Information Portal.

The awards are organised by the Global Organisation of Smart Cities, with its membership including governments, enterprises, academic institutions and individuals from 36 cities in 19 countries.

The GO Smart Award is designed to honour and encourage the sharing of innovative solutions in urban management as well as creating opportunities for participants to introduce their products and services.

USAID helps Vietnam strengthen e-Government capacity
