Digital transformation in Bac Giang: Clearly defining priority areas
At the meeting, the representative of the department stated that 2020 was defined as the starting year of the national digital transformation. With three main pillars including digital government, digital economy and digital society, the National Digital Transformation Programme defines a vision to 2030 when Vietnam becomes a stable and prosperous digital country pioneering in the experiment of new technologies and models.

On that basis, through discussions, the Department of Computerization focused on clarifying a number of issues in digital transformation.
Accordingly, the department has guided the province to identify areas of priority in implementing digital transformation such as health, education, finance, banking, agriculture, natural resources and environment and industry. At the same time, it clarified the concept of enterprises providing digital products and applying digital technology to help the province have a foundation for building targets.
Permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Mai Son emphasized that on the basis of clearly defining the roadmap, Bac Giang province will implement the National Digital Transformation Programme by 2025, with a vision to 2030 in a comprehensive manner. Among the contents the province is interested in is digital transformation in attracting FDI enterprises. For many years, the local investment climate has been quite attractive. Bac Giang has always been named in the top localities nationwide in luring FDI, contributing to the local economic growth.
He suggested that the department continue to pay attention to supporting the province in human resources training to effectively implement the programme. The department should support Bac Giang in carrying out communal-level digital transformation across the province in 2021 and digitizing land data, as well as introduce localities that have made outstanding performance in this field for the province to learn their experience.
