E-commerce platforms support farmers to consume OCOP products
Representative of e-commerce platform Postmart.vn said after successfully supporting Bac Giang to consume lychee, it has assisted local farmers to open more stalls to sell dried lychee and Chu rice noodle which are preferred by many customers with the sold quantity up to 100 – 300 kg per day.

Postmart has connected to cooperatives in Luc Nam district to supply local custard apple which will be harvested in August and plan to introduce OCOP and VietGAP products of Bac Giang on the platform in soonest time. It also applies the same method of consumption and transport assistance as the way they supported lychee in recent crop.
Similarly, Viettel Post Joint Stock Company (ViettelPost) has accelerated the campaign to use digital technology to assist in consuming Vietnamese agriculture products on e-commerce platform Voso.vn.
Viettel Post has contacted to leader of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in several provinces of Quang Ninh, Bac Giang, Khanh Hoa and Hai Duong to select OCOP products to put on transaction.
To help the farmers quickly assess to this trading method, Viettel Post will establish assistance teams to visit each locality and instruct them the way to sell product on digital technology base.
Viettel Post will offer attractive and convenient sale programme to customers to ease their selection and order which is shipped directly to the home.

According to the provincial Department of Industry and Trade, in the recent lychee season, the Department of E- Commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade) had coordinated successfully to 7 big domestic and international e-commerce platforms of Alibaba.com, Sendo.vn, Voso.vn, Postmart.vn, Lazada.vn, Shopee.vn, Tiki.vn to support farmers, businesses and cooperatives in Bac Giang to sell more than 6,000 tonnes of fresh lychees.
Promoting this result, the Department has planned to further collaborate and connect to e-commerce platforms to consume several key farm produce in the province which will be harvested soon such as custard apple, longan, orange, pomelo, jujube...
The action helps create stable consumption channel for local farmers while ensuring Covid-19 prevention and control.
