More than three tonnes of lychee from the northern province of Bac Giang has been exported to Germany via the e-commerce platform Voso.
The Vietnam E-Commerce and Digital Economy Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade said this is the first time Vietnam’s agricultural products have been shipped to Europe through the “cross-border e-commerce” model on an e-commerce platform developed and operated by the Southeast Asian nation.

Lychee crop 2021: Promoting flexible connections, tapping markets

Covid-19 epidemic, Luc Ngan district (Bac Giang province) has coordinated to
flexibly implement lychee consumption scenarios in 2021 with many new features.
As a result, up to now, the district has sold more than 70 percent of the
lychee volume with large purchasing power and high selling prices both at home
and abroad.

Giang has 30 lychee growing area codes to export to Japan with total area of
219.4 ha and productivity of 1,800 tonnes of fruits. To ensure safe and
Covid-19 free products, the locals have strictly followed the procedure in every
step of harvest, sterilization, package, transport in line with Japanese
requirement.

market. Amid difficulties from the outbreak of Covid-19, lychee was still sold
smoothly and even accessed many new high-end and fastidious markets, thereby

The launching of “thieu” lychees on e-commerce floors in May and early June 2021 has received an active response from farmers and enterprises, marking a big change in the process of purchasing and consuming agricultural products.
