The bridge on Mong port links the key road from the center of Luc Son commune to Truong Son commune. Also, it is the main road for the locals in 7 hamlets in the commune, including Tho Son, Choi 1, Choi 2, Goc De, Dong Vanh 1, Dong Vanh 2 and Ho Lao.

The old bridge has small aperture (low and weak bridge surface). For years, the bridge has been flooded on the rain season, leading to high risk to the locals when passing on it or even isolating the localities.
