BAC GIANG - On April 13, VIFOCO Import Export Joint Stock Company in Bac Giang city (Bac Giang province) inked a cooperative programme with Mova Plus Vietnam Import-Export Trading and Services Company Limited (Hanoi) and Phuc Hoa Commune People's Committee in Phuc Hoa commune (Tan Yen district) about lychee production and consumption in the European market during 2024-2028 period.

Based on the content of the agreement, in 2024, businesses register to purchase 50 tonnes of early ripening lychees to export to the European market.

Delegates sign a cooperation agreement to consume Phuc Hoa early ripening lychees in the European market.

Phuc Hoa Commune People's Committee is responsible for building growing areas with stable stable output and quality so as to meet standards and criteria set by the import country. Also, local authority will consult, guide and support farmers to strictly follow the cultivation, product processing and packaging procedures, ensuring growing area security during the fruit season.

According to Ngo Van Tiep, Chairman of the Commune People's Committee, Phuc Hoa early ripening lychees are popular among domestic and foreign customers and businesses for the early ripe time, thin skin, thick pulp, fresh color and good quality.

Leader of Phuc Hoa commune introduces the caring process of early ripening lychee in line with VietGAP standards.

Since March, the locality has welcomed many working groups, experts and traders to seek information and register to purchase products. The entire commune maintains 680 hectares of this crop.

To date, the fruit bearing rate has reached more than 80% which is expected to be harvested at the end of May and June.
