Bac Giang ranks six out of 10 leading localities nationwide in 2023 export

BAC GIANG - On May 16 in Hanoi, the Ministry of Industry and Trade announced Vietnam's Import and Export Report in 2023. Thouth the country's export turnover was down 4.6% compared to 2022, it still reached nearly 355 billion USD.

Accordingly, the 10 provinces and cities with the leading export turnover in the country in 2023 included Ho Chi Minh City with 42.4 billion USD; Bac Ninh with 39.3 billion USD; Binh Duong with 30.6 billion USD; Hai Phong with 26.8 billion USD; Thai Nguyen with 25.7 billion USD; Bac Giang with 24,5 billion USD; Dong Nai with 21.6 billion USD; Hanoi with 16.6 billion USD; Phu Tho with 10.6 billion USD; Vinh Phuc with nearly 10 billion USD.

The 10 provinces with the lowest export turnover were Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Son La, Bac Kan, Ninh Thuan, Cao Bang, Dak Nong, Ha Giang, Quang Binh and Tuyen Quang.

The report showed that the import-export results of domestic enterprises last year were shortened compared to foreign-invested enterprises.

Following the results achieved from the Vietnam Import-Export Report for the years 2016-2021, 2023 was the 8th consecutive year the Ministry of Industry and Trade has compiled and published this report.

Vietnam Import-Export Report is an official document of the Ministry of Industry and Trade that is carried out annually to provide overview information on the import-export situation; import-export situation of each product group, market and management of import-export activities and forecast analysis for the next period.
