At the meeting, representatives of MM Mega Market Vietnam Group and the Bac Giang Department of Industry and Trade informed about the expected output and quality of this year's lychee crop together with the promotion strategy of seasonal fresh fruit.

Thereby, MM Mega Market Vietnam commited to supporting the consumption of local agricultural products, especially Bac Giang's lychees.

MM Mega Market Vietnam Group is a Thai enterprise that has been present in the market for more than 7 years. After receiving the transfer in Vietnam, the Group currently owns 21 wholesale centers and supermarkets nationwide and more than 1,700 supermarkets in Thailand.

This is the 4th year that MM Mega Market Vietnam Group has cooperated in consuming lychees in Bac Giang.

This year, the MM Mega Market supermarket system in Vietnam plans to increase purchasing volume compared to the previous season.

Tran Quang Tan affirmed that this year's lychee crop is expected to yield a decrease compared to last year but the quality of lychees is higher.

He suggested the supermarket system to pay more attention and closely associate with cooperatives and lychee growing households in purchasing and consuming Bac Giang's lychees.

The provincial government and functional agencies are strictly managing and monitoring product quality. Also, the local authority committed to creating favorable conditions for businesses to purchase, consume and export lychees.

At the same day, the representatives of the Group visited lychee growing areas in Luc Ngan and Tan Yen districts; then issued purchasing plan with local cooperatives and agricultural product processing facilities to sell products in the retail system of MM Mega Market Vietnam nationwide.
