EVN introduces QR codes for paying electricity bills

Updated: 20:12, 10/12/2020
The public electricity utility EVN has announced plans to use QR codes starting from January next year to make it easier for its customers to pay their bills, marking another step in its push to promote digital transformation.

Under the scheme, each EVN customer will be given a QR code containing their profiles at the utility company to the standards set by the State Bank of Vietnam.

When paying their bills, customers only need to scan the code, enter the amount and the transaction will be completed instantly, without having to remember their customer numbers.
