Four Bac Giang’s women awarded “Vietnamese Heroic Mother” title

(BGO) – The President has decided to award the honor “Vietnamese heroic mother” title to four mothers in the northern province of Bac Giang whose husbands and sons sacrificed their lives at the resistant war against the French.

They were Ong Thi Con (born in 1867), Hoang Thi Vay (born in 1894) in Canh Thuy commune (Yen Dung district); Ha Thi Tu (born in 1893) in Phuong Son commune and Tran Thi Chau (born in 1900) in Bien Dong commune (Luc Ngan district).

On this occasion, the Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee decided to present 25.1 million VND (over 1,000 USD) and a gift package worth 500,000 VND (22 USD) for each mother while assigning the People’s Committee in Yen Dung and Luc Ngan districts and the Department of Home Affairs to organize the awarding ceremony in line with Government’s regulation.

It is the meaningful gift to pay tribute to the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers for for their contributions and sacrifice for national liberation, building and safeguarding. 31 mothers in the province have been bestowed with the honor title since 2019.

She has worked hard all of her life and sacrificed her own things for the country.
