Accordingly, the service is available from early morning until late evening, in accordance with the Sun World Cat Ba cable car schedule and events taking place at Xanh Island, making it more convenient for visitors to plan their travel and leisure activities.
During the free trial period from April 18 to May 15, 10 electric vehicles will operate continuously on the route.
From May 16, the fleet will be expanded to 20 vehicles of each type, with up to 150 trips per day to meet the peak season demand. Visitors traveling by cable car can conveniently park their personal vehicles at the Sun World Cat Ba’s Cat Hai station parking lot.
Also in May, a new fleet of electric buggies is expected to be launched to transport visitors from the Cat Ba marina in Dong Ho Bay to Xanh Island, as well as to beaches and various attractions within Xanh Island.
Cat Ba is witnessing remarkable tourism growth thanks to its diverse range of exploration experiences. In the first two months of 2025, the island welcomed over 280,000 visitors. It expects to attract 4 million tourists this year.
Sun Group’s introduction of a carbon-free public transportation system for tourists is expected to gradually handle the transportation issue on the island, and gradually position Cat Ba as a green and eco-friendly island with zero carbon emissions.
