Updated: 16:43, 21/04/2025

A range of events have marked the launch of the 2025 seaside tourism season, including the opening ceremonies of the Cua Lo Tourism Festival 2025 and the Hai Tien Seaside Tourism Festival 2025. These events have attracted significant interest from both domestic and international tourists ahead of the April 30 and May Day holiday and the 2025 summer travel season.

On the evening of April 19, the province of Nghe An held a grand opening ceremony for the Cua Lo Tourism Festival 2025 in Binh Minh Square, the central Vinh City.

The overview of Cua Lo Tourism Festival 2025.

The Cua Lo Tourism Festival is not only a culturally significant event but also an opportunity to honour the natural beauty, culture, and people of Nghe An.

It serves as a platform to promote the Cua Lo seaside area, the city of Vinh, and the culturally rich and rapidly developing province of Nghe An to visitors from both near and far.

Cua Lo is a picturesque beach embraced by the lush green banks of the Cam River to the north and the Lam River to the south, forming a rare and captivating natural landscape enriched by a wealth of historical value.

Cua Lo is also a popular holiday destination, featuring gently sloping beaches, smooth white sand, and crystal-clear waters that form an ideal microclimate.

It is also a region with distinct cultural features of the Nghe sub-region, one of the country’s unique cultural cradles.

Cua Lo has regarded as a “green gem” of Nghe. It has been recognised by the World Tourism Organisation as one of Vietnam’s most ideal beach destinations.

Visitors can enjoy fresh seafood caught directly from the Cua Lo waters, stroll through traditional craft villages, and witness firsthand the artisanal seafood processing in the fishing villages of Nghi Hai and Nghi Thuy.

They can also frolic on the beach or join fishermen to pull nets and welcome the radiant sunrise over the sea.

Tourists may also visit Vinh City to shop and sample the local cuisine, climb Mount Quyet to visit the temple of Emperor Quang Trung, explore Cho Cui Temple and the hometown of great poet Nguyen Du on the opposite bank of the Lam River, and visit historical sites such as Ong Hoang Muoi Temple and King Mai Hac De Temple in Hung Nguyen – Nam Dan.

The journey can end on a deeply emotional note at the Memorial House of President Ho Chi Minh in the Kim Lien Relic Site, Sen Village, Nam Dan District.

For the 2025 Cua Lo tourism season, Vinh city aims to welcome 6.9 million visitors, including 3.2 million overnight guests and 130,000 international arrivals.

Tourism revenue is projected to reach 7,000 billion VND, creating jobs for 11,000 people.

Also, on the evening of April 19, Hoang Hoa District in Thanh Hoa Province jubilantly launched the Hai Tien Seaside Tourism Festival 2025 under the theme “Aspirations to Shine”.

Hai Tien Festival 2025 featured songs inspired by love for the homeland, the Hai Tien coastal region, and Thanh Hoa Province. It celebrated the creative labourers who are contributing each day to building a more prosperous homeland and nation.

This year, Hoang Hoa District has enhanced training for tour guides, accommodation staff, and culinary workers to continually improve tourism quality.

The district has also launched the Hoang Hoa – Thanh Hoa Tourism website and initiated efforts to preserve and revive the Cau An and Cau Ngu festivals in Hoang Truong Commune.

With a natural ecosystem and over 12km of white sand coastline, Hai Tien tourism area in Hoang Hoa now boasts more than 100 establishments and nearly 7,000 guest rooms, offering diverse services and tourism products that attract visitors from far and wide.

In 2024, Hoang Hoa welcomed over 2.1 million visitors while tourism revenue reached 3,050 billion VND, marking an increase of 33.5% and 39% respectively compared to the same period in 2023.

In Hoang Truong Commune, the newly operational Flamingo Linh Truong Resort connects to the scenic But Pagoda, located beside Hon Bo, and a monument commemorating the heroic spirit of the elderly militia of Hoang Truong. The lush vegetation on the surrounding hills is becoming an increasingly attractive destination for tourists.

Alongside eco-tourism, beach holidays, and wellness retreats, Hoang Hoa District is also tapping into the region’s rich humanistic tourism resources. The ancient land of Hoang is steeped in scholarly tradition and respect for learning, striving to reach ever greater academic and cultural heights.

A new destination in Hoang Phu offers visitors an experiential tourism spot named Le Gia, which combines the preservation and promotion of traditional crafts with activities such as workshops, heritage product shopping, and folk games and performances.

In opening the 2025 beach tourism season, Hoang Hoa District has delivered a powerful message inviting visitors to return to this coastal region to immerse themselves in the clear blue waters, explore the rich cultural spaces and heritage complexes, and grow fonder of the industrious and hospitable people who are the proud custodians of this land of outstanding talent and spiritual richness.
