The first time competing in Bac Giang, she was quite surprised by the beautiful provincial Gymnasium and the large capacity stands.

According to Thet Htar Thuzar, this year's tournament brought together many famous international athletes and gave her the opportunity to compete, learn experience and competition skills from strong opponents.

She shared: “Before coming here, we were most concerned about the accommodation and the difference in culinary culture. However, the local Organizing Committee was very thoughtful in arranging a variety of dishes, suitable for the indigenous cultures of many countries, including Myanmar. After many days of staying here, I was able to enjoy some dishes from your country. My favorites are Vietnamese pho and banh mi."

Malaysian athlete Tan Zheng Tseng shares his feelings with reporter from Bac Giang Newspaper during the competition days in Bac Giang.

Also, she felt that everything was quite familiar from the weather to the cuisine. The hotel where the team stay was beautiful with enough amenities, helping the members maintain the best competitive mentality to achieve high results.

"Up to this point, you have done a great job of organizing," said Thet Htar Thuzar.

Sharing the same feeling as Thet Htar Thuzar, male athlete Tan Zheng Tseng from the Malaysian Badminton team thanked the thoughtfulness and friendliness of the volunteer team. He was also very impressed with the facilities of the Provincial Gymnasium.

“I came to Bac Giang City on November 10. Although this is just a small city, I was completely surprised by the large area and unique architecture of the gymnasium. The lighting system and carpets meet international standards. When we arrived, everything was prepared by the local Organizing Committee to serve the athletes to practice before entering the tournament. There are security forces on duty in all areas, so we felt very secure,” said Tan Zheng Tseng.

He also expressed sincere thanks to the local Organizing Committee for arranging a team of young, dynamic and foreign language-proficient volunteers to help the Malaysian delegation in particular and other teams communicate with the Organizing Committee or connect with the media department in providing and sharing competition images.

The people of Bac Giang are friendly and always warmly welcome him and the delegations. Tan Zheng Tseng hoped that next week when competing in Ninh Binh province, he will continue to receive enthusiastic support and have more meaningful experiences like in Bac Giang.

Additionally, Indonesian female athlete Dhinda shared that Indonesian people also love badminton like Vietnamese. Participating in the tournament, the Indonesian team has 21 athletes, the third country in terms of the number of athletes.

Before coming to Bac Giang, she learned about Vietnam and felt very excited, looking forward to an interesting journey during the competition days here.

She said: "In the hotel lobby, there are many magazines and brochures promoting the scenic spots of Vietnam. I want to explore more when I hear volunteers introduce the attractive destinations of your country and Bac Giang province".

Due to training conditions and competition mentality requirement, the team only moved from Muong Thanh Hotel to the training ground so Dhinda really hoped that during her stay here, she will be able to visit Bac Giang City, explore more about the local culture and cuisine. She wished to have the opportunity to return to Bac Giang in the future.

The Li-Ning Vietnam International Series 2024 is coming to an end. In an effort to make a successful tournament, the local Organizing Committee of Bac Giang province has carefully prepared all stages and tasks, from facilities, logistics, reception to communications, healthcare and security.

Thereby, it demonstrates the image of a friendly and hospitable Bac Giang province in the hearts of international friends, helping spread and introduce the image of the land, people, historical and cultural values of Bac Giang, attract investors and promote the socio-economic development of the province.
