The Permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Mai Son said Hana Micro comes from Chungcheongnam province. This is one of the businesses actively connecting with Bac Giang and Chungcheongnam provinces to establish relations and sign cooperation agreements.

In 2019, after the People's Committee of Bac Giang province and Hana Micron signed an investment cooperation agreement, the company began building a factory in Van Trung Industrial Park in Viet Yen district.

Hana Micron Group was established in 2001 in Korea with 2,500 employees. In Vietnam, Hana Micron currently has 2 factories, one in Yen Phong district (Bac Ninh) and one in Van Trung Industrial Park (Bac Giang) with a total of 1,600 active employees.

On September 16, 2023, Hana Micron continued to inaugurate and put into operation the Hana Micron Vina 2 which manufactures semiconductor product in Van Trung Industrial Park. This is the first semiconductor manufacturing project in the North.

At the meeting, the leader of Hana Micron said that the company has invested in this project on a total scale of more than 6 hectares in Bac Giang. This is the number one production facility in Hana Micron's global business operations. The human resources recruited in Vietnam will account for 70 percent of the total workforce. It is expected that by 2023, the Company's revenue will reach 300 million USD.

During the visit, Governor Kim Tae Heum and the delegation of Chungcheongnam province discussed and expressed satisfaction with Bac Giang's investment environment. They visited the company's product displays and factories.

The guest believed that many businesses and investors of Chungcheongnam province in particular and Korean investors in general will be interested in seeking cooperation and investment opportunities in Bac Giang; helping cultivate the cooperative ties between the two provinces and the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Korea.
