According to organizers, the number of visitors to the flower street has increased by 30 percent against last Tet.

On Monday night, the final day of the old lunar year, the street was closed for several hours due to surging crowds, which could pose a high risk of Covid-19 infection.

All visitors to the street must wear face masks all the time, even when they pose for photos.

They must complete a health declaration using the PC-Covid app, have their hands disinfected and body temperature checked.

Since it first opened in 2002, the flower street has become an important part of the country’s celebration of Lunar New Year, its biggest and most important festival.
