Updated: 09:00, 06/11/2019
(BGO) - In addition to choosing land plots, people now have more housing investment options with a series of high-rise apartment projects being implemented in Bac Giang province. Despite rapid construction speed, these projects are still strictly managed, with construction order ensured.

Projects mushroom

Recently, many projects to build high-rise apartment buildings have been approved and implemented quickly, creating a large supply of housing. The apartments range from affordable to high-end segments. The scales and areas of use are diverse, meeting nearly all the needs of occupants.

According to the provincial Department of Construction's statistics, the province has so far approved 17 housing construction projects, including six social and worker housing and 11 commercial housing ones. The total area of the projects is about 51 hectares, with more than 9,100 apartments. Commercial housing alone has more than 4,300 apartments, while the rest are social houses and houses for workers.

Dao Cong Hung, head of the Housing and Real Estate Market Management Division (the provincial Department of Construction), said that currently nine housing development projects have basically been completed and put to use while eight others are under construction.

Notably, in the field of commercial housing, there are five completed projects (Dong Cua apartment building, a commercial apartment building invested by the Quang Minh Group Joint Stock Company, Tran Nguyen Han housing area, Vinh Ninh commercial housing area; and Shop house commercial housing area on Hung Vuong street).

Some underway projects include Bach Viet Areca Garden Apartment Building in the Bach Viet Lake Garden New Urban Area in Dinh Ke ward, (Bac Giang city), with 22 storeys and 298 apartments; a mixed-use apartment building in Lot TM7 according to the planning of Nguyen Van Cu street, including two basements, 19 storeys and one technical attic, with 187 apartments; and a project to build the Apec Aqua Park complex under the planning of Nguyen Van Cu street, including OCT5 - Mandala apartment building and OCT8A- Mandala Luxury Apartment building.

In addition, there is a commercial apartment complex in a residential area next to Xuong Giang street, including four buildings, two of which serve the resettlement needs of households who lived in the old apartment building in Tran Nguyen Han ward. Once the projects are completed by 2020, more than 2,000 apartments will be put on sale.

Coordination in construction order management

The construction of many high-rise apartment buildings in the same time has raised the issue of strict management of construction order. Over the past time, the Bac Giang city People's Committee and departments and agencies of the province have regularly inspected the law observance in the process of building these works.

The province has approved 17 housing construction projects, including six social and worker housing and 11 commercial housing ones. The total land area of the projects is about 51 hectares with more than 9,100 apartments. Commercial housing alone has more than 4,300 apartments while the rest are social houses and houses for workers.

Truong Hong Minh, head of Bac Giang city's traffic order, construction and environment management unit, said that apartment buildings are of large scale, so the city pays special attention to maintaining construction order.

The advantage is that investors and contractors are capable and professional and have the ability to mobilize a large number of human resources and vehicles to carry out projects quickly so the progress of the works has basically been ensured.

However, the unit has advised the municipal People's Committee and coordinated with specialized divisions of the provincial Department of Construction to urge investors and construction enterprises to improve the quality of works and apply a series of measures to ensure labor safety and environmental sanitation as prescribed.
